Project Scope
In 2013, Clyint was introduced to a new local concept about to hit the Arizona market, Fired Pie. A fast-casual customizable pizza & salad joint, they had a name without a face. We developed an identity with the notion of being a nationwide game changer in the pizza industry. Bringing an urban, edgy overtone to the brand was our intention, matching the city vibe that ownership was pursuing.
After the brand identity was approved we moved onto their menu creation, designing graphical & typographical solutions to marry their logo. One of the most difficult aspects of this project scope was creating the concept of how the consumer would be presented what Fired Pie offers, telling their story as they walk in the restaurants. We created a “Build Your Own / Pizza & Salad Creations” to reinforce the customizable “your way or ours” menu direction.
Once the brand & graphical visual communication was established it was time to bring their brand online, the website was next up. Clyint launched firedpie.com a week prior to their first opening, Deer Valley Towne Center in June 2013. The site carries through the styling of both the brand as well as the unique grunge elements in their print and marketing collateral.
As the opening of the first Fired Pie quickly approached, Clyint was commissioned to create large in-store mixed media installation art pieces as well as working with the general contractors on interior design decisions. We created typographical wallpaper prints utilizing their tagline, products & local / fast-casual messaging.
The Fired Pie brand was established and further developed as we moved onto their pizza box packaging, employee uniforms, internal training manuals and social media components of their business. We are proud to say that in four years, Fired Pie has taken the industry by storm, currently expanding to 18 Arizona restaurants and goals to open future locations nationwide.
